Dr Aresu performs over 300 major thoracic operations each year, with over 95% using minimally invasive techniques. As an experienced Lung Transplant Surgeon, he carried out 21 transplants in 2022/23 and 22 in 2023/24.
He played a pivotal role in introducing the UK’s first Papworth EVLP XVIVO programme and is recognised as one of only two positive outliers for one-year post-lung resection survival.
Dr Aresu's mastery of minimally invasive keyhole thoracic and robotic surgery techniques keeps him firmly at the cutting edge of modern thoracic care.
